Warlord Games Bolt Action: Waffen - SS (1943 - 45) Weapons Teams - Lost City Toys

Warlord Games Bolt Action: Waffen-SS (1943-45) Weapons Teams

Infantry weapons teams are a key component of any Bolt Action army, providing as they do great tactical flexibility for your force. Sniper teams, anti-tank teams and flamethrower teams are among the most prevalent, presenting your opponent with multiple challenges to overcome. The Panzerschreck was a German development of the American bazooka, first encountered in North Africa, firing a large calibre shaped-charge rocket projectile. The back-blast from the weapon was so intense that early teams wore protective capes and masks - later a blast shield was fitted to the weapon giving it a distinctive appearance. The Panzerschreck and disposable anti-tank Panzerfaust had replaced the Panzerba¼chse 39 anti-tank rifle by 1944.During the battle of Stalingrad, Russian snipers took such a heavy toll upon the beleaguered Wehrmacht that the Germans began to train and equip their own marksmen to undertake a specialist role as snipers. A variety of rifles were used for sniping, including the standard KAR-98K and the semi-automatic Gewehr 43, all fitted with the high quality ZF39 telescopic sight, and equipped with precision-manufactured ammunition.Flamethrowers - Flammenwerfer - were used through the war and were often employed against buildings or fortifications. During the latter part of the war, the Germans produced a lighter, smaller design that carried enough fuel for a single burst - effectively a one-shot flamethrower -the Eintossflammenwerfe. It is not known, however, whether this weapon was actually ever employed.Contents:Six Warlord Resin(TM) FiguresPlastic BasesThree Order DiceModels supplied unassembled and unpainted

Warlord Games Bolt Action: Blitzkrieg German Support Group - Lost City Toys

Warlord Games Bolt Action: Blitzkrieg German Support Group

Introducing the Blitzkrieg German Infantry Set, a meticulous representation of the formidable German military during the Blitzkrieg era. At the helm of this ensemble, German officers stand as epitomes of capable and seasoned leadership within the Blitzkrieg HQ. Their junior counterparts, meticulously trained to inherit responsibilities beyond their ranks, embody the essence of initiative and strategic prowess. At the core of this set lies an array of weaponry that instilled fear in Allied troops. Among them, the MG34 and the rapid-firing MG42, famously known as 'Hitler's Buzz Saw', due to its distinctive sound or 'Spandau', stand out. Unlike their counterparts, German machine guns served dual purposes – as squad weapons, supported by bipods, and as tripod-mounted support weapons. The stability provided by the tripod mount facilitated sustained and accurate fire through belt feeds, giving German infantry a lethal advantage on the battlefield. Complementing these iconic machine guns are the 80mm Granatwerfer 34 medium mortars. Renowned for their precision and effectiveness, these mortars provided indispensable long-range, on-call fire support. Capable of reaching distances up to 2,400 meters and maintaining a rapid firing rate of 15-20 rounds per minute, they were formidable assets during the Blitzkrieg campaigns. The Blitzkrieg German Infantry Set encompasses four infantry units, two artillery pieces or war machines, and six crew members, encapsulating the lethal efficiency and strategic ingenuity of the German military during one of the most pivotal periods in modern history.

Warlord Games Bolt Action: Italian Alpini Mountain Troops - Lost City Toys

Warlord Games Bolt Action: Italian Alpini Mountain Troops

Known as Le Penne Nere (the black feathers), after the distinctive raven feather in their headgear, the Alpini are the Italian Army's elite specialists in mountain warfare. Created by Royal decree no. 1056 in 1872, they are the oldest mountain specialists in the world. In 1935, the Italian fascist government under Mussolini reorganised the Alpini into six divisions and sent three of them to fight on the Eastern Front alongside the Germans against the Soviet Union. However, the Germans deployed these elite troops (trained and equipped for mountain combat against infantry) along the flat plains of the Don River facing tanks. Despite this, the tenacious Alpini were able to escape encirclement and survive.During the war, Italian Alpini divisions saw combat in Albania, France, Greece and Yugoslavia, as well as in the Soviet Union and even as far afield as East Africa. After the armistice in 1943, the 3rd Alpini Division joined the Allied cause while the 4th Alpini Division continued to fight alongside Germany.Contents:Enough plastic components to make 30 Alpini miniatures.Includes a host of options to allow for different weapon configurations and command models.Options for M33 steel helmets or alpine caps.Weapons included: M91/41 rifle, M91/38 Carcano Cavalry Carbine, M38A Beretta SMG, M38 Carcano carbine, M1934 9mm Beretta pistol, Breda M30 LMG and combat knives.Plastic bases.Assembly leaflet.Full-colour waterslide decals

Warlord Games Bolt Action: Italian Army & Blackshirts - Lost City Toys

Warlord Games Bolt Action: Italian Army & Blackshirts

Mussolini famously boasted that the Italian army had eight million bayonets standing at the ready. In actuality, the standing Italian army was far smaller than that, with huge numbers of troops conscripted into a war they neither believed in nor understood. The fighting ability of units of the Italian army varied greatly, with much of the rank and file lacking proper equipment, transport and even motivation. Still, there were several key battles in North Africa and the Eastern Front where they performed well.Initially, the standard rifle was the Carcano Model 1891 as used in World War I. A shortened version was introduced in 1941 (the M91/41); this along with the M38 Carbine, was intended to replace the M1891 - the shorter barrels being far more practical for the infantry to carry and manoeuvre. These latter two weapons are represented in our new plastics. Also represented is the M91/38 cavalry carbine - typically issued with a fixed rear sight (set to 200 metres) and a folding bayonet. The excellent 9mm Beretta M38 was the standard sub-machine gun. The Italian light machine gun - the Breda Model 1930 - suffered from a slow rate of fire, the same small calibre ammunition as the squad's rifles, and a mechanism prone to jamming and breakage.Camicie Nere (Blackshirts) MilitiaThe MVSN or Milizia Volontaria per la Sicurezza Nazionale (Voluntary Militia for National Security) was made by the Fascist Party into a paramilitary organization similar in concept to the German SS. The rank and organizational terminology used by the MVSN was very close to that of ancient Rome, with legions, centuries, cohorts, maniples and so on. Mostly concerned with territorial security and counter-partisan activities, in wartime the Camicie Nere were organized into 'assault legions' that were fielded alongside regular army infantry divisions to reinforce them and as a way to 'politicize' the Regio Esercito. The quality of these militia units varied immensely, ranging from barely trained village bullies to veterans of the Spanish Civil War and highly motivated 'Giovani Fascisti' (young fascists). The SprueThe Italian uniform changed several times during the course of the war and we chose the pattern that could best represent a wide array of troops, at different times during the war, and in different theatres of operation. At 28mm scale, these are ideal to represent M37 or M40 tunics. We have also included the Camiciotto Sahariana pullover smock for added variety.Weaponry includes the M91/41 rifle, M91/38 Carcano Cavalry Carbine, M38A Beretta SMG, M38 Carcano carbine, M1934, 9mm Beretta pistol and Breda M30 LMG.A wide variety of headgear for the Italian Army and Blackshirts are included - M33 steel helmets, Bustina cap, M1935 pith helmet, Blackshirt soft fez & Blackshirt hard fez.Not only that but the sprue contains masses of optional extras such as two types of gas mask bags, goggles, bayonets, combat knives, etc!Contents:30 plastic highly customisable Italian InfantryDecal sheetAssembly guide

Warlord Games Bolt Action: Afrika Korps - Lost City Toys

Warlord Games Bolt Action: Afrika Korps

Sent to bolster their beleaguered Italian allies facing the combined forces of the British Commonwealth in North Africa, the Deutsches Afrika Korps proved a dangerous opponent. Commanded by the legendary Erwin Rommel, the Afrika Korps fought a series of ferocious battles in Egypt and Libya as each side pushed the other to breaking point.Fighting in what was referred to as the last 'Gentleman's War', the German soldier was well respected by those he faced, be they British, Australian, Indian or other nationalities. German tactics in the desert had a profound and deadly effect on how the British armour and infantry formations interacted with one another and these lessons were learnt for the later conflicts in North West Europe. The Afrika Korps foot troops were more than ably supported by the dreaded '88' (8.8cm Flak) gun as a direct fire weapon and the ubiquitous Panzer IV was developed into what the British troops referred to as the 'Pz IV special' - a tank the British tank commanders learnt to fear and respect in equal measure. Battles at El Alamein, Tobruk and Gazala honed their fighting capability, pushing the British High Command into changes that would bring eventual victory in the desert campaign.Supplied with a variety of headgear and weapon options Warlord Games' highly detailed and dynamically posed Afrika Korps are ideal for fighting in North Africa as well as into the Tunisian and the Italian campaigns.Contents:Enough plastic components to make 30 Deutsches Afrika Korps miniatures. Warlord Games Bolt Action: M5 Stuart Platoon - Lost City Toys

Warlord Games Bolt Action: M5 Stuart Platoon

This new versatile plastic kit can be assembled as either an M5 Stuart, M5A1 Stuart or an E7-7 Mechanised Flamethrower, and to boot is suitable for many a Bolt Action army, including US, British, Soviet and Chinese. This platoon set gives you three of these tanks to assemble as you see fit, whether you're looking to field a three vehicle platoon of a single variant, or want to add one of each variant to your army at a discounted price against purchasing three separately. The Americans favoured light tanks over armoured cars for reconnaissance, and the M5 light tanks were developed for this role. The chief difference between this and the earlier vehicle was its Cadillac engine. This necessitated some redesign of the armour to fit, and the opportunity was taken to improve the armour layout and distribution. In the M5A1 version the lower hull casting was now up to 64mm thick in places. Other improvements include wider access hatches, more interior space for the crew and ammunition stowage for 147 37mm rounds. Production was limited since the introduction of the M24 light tank was imminent.Although it counts as a light tank (Damage Value 8+) in Bolt Action, it benefits from the Reinforced Armour special rule; when taking shots that strike the front of the vehicle it treats its armour value as 9+ instead.Principal service: 1943-45. Warlord Games Bolt Action: British & Canadian Army Infantry (1943 - 45) - Lost City Toys

Warlord Games Bolt Action: British & Canadian Army Infantry (1943-45)

The new plastic kit for the British and Canadians is fantastically detailed and allows for myriad customization options. Our customer service boffins worked out that there are a possible 396 variations that can be made BEFORE the consideration of optional heads and additional accessories such as maps, waving arms and binoculars. The new kit is packed with optional extras, with head options for steel helmets, assault helmets and Tam o'shanter caps (for Scottish or Canadian troops), as well as weapons including: Lee Enfield No 4 rifle, Bren light machine gun, Sten sub-machine gun, 2-inch light mortar, PIAT anti-tank projector, Webley service revolver and Mills Bombs, additional accessories and command options.A British infantry squad was referred to as a section. It normally consisted of ten men and was divided into a separate rifle group and Bren group. Each section was led by a corporal armed with a rifle or pistol and included a lance corporal who was in charge of the Bren group. All the section members apart from the corporal carried ammunition for the Bren - 700 rounds in 25 magazines in all. In addition, all men carried grenades. As the war progressed, additional weaponry was acquired. The section leader and/or second in command would be issued with Thompson or Sten submachine guns (though these were sometimes quietly 'lost' to avoid making themselves obvious targets for snipers). Late in the war a second Bren was added to many Veteran sections, whether this was officially part of their issue or not.Canadian infantry sections were organised in the same way as their British counterparts. From 1943-45, due to the Canadian practice of employing MMGs and HMGs on Universal Carriers, spare Bren guns also became available to some infantry sections. All three Canadian infantry divisions were trained to conduct amphibious landing operations. Canadians participated in landings at Dieppe, Sicily, Italy, Normandy, the Breskens Pocket and the Rhine crossing. 3rd Canadian Infantry Division conducted so many amphibious assaults they earned the nickname 'The Water Rats' from Field Marshal Montgomery.Contents:30 Plastic InfantryPlastic BasesAssembly GuideFull Colour Waterslide Decal Sheets for both British & Canadian Troops

Warlord Games BA: Churchill Infantry Tank (Plastic) - Lost City Toys

Warlord Games BA: Churchill Infantry Tank (Plastic)

he Churchill, undoubtedly one of the most successful and famous British tanks of the Second World War, is arriving to bolster your army very soon and here is your chance to grab 3 of the beasts early so you can represent no less than 7 variants on your battlefield and keep the enemy guessing! The British Army adopted a doctrine centered around the use of light, fast 'Cruiser Tanks' coupled with slow, better armed and armoured 'Infantry Tanks', that would be used to smash the enemy defences with infantry support... and the Churchill was a prime example of the latter - one of the heaviest Allied tanks of the war, it featured thicker frontal armour than that even of the Tiger!Although it suffered from being under-armed, a defect common to most British armoured vehicles of the period, it was nevertheless loved by its crews: its cross-country ability was unrivalled and it was less inclined to 'brew-up' from a direct hit than the Sherman. It will be no surprise to you to know that it was named after the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, but you may not know that he had also been involved with the development of the tank as a weapon during the First World War.Taking the form very reminiscent of earlier WWI tanks, the Vauxhall motors built Churchill was the basis for a slew of variants from the MkI with a 2pdr gun to the MkVII 75mm guns. Other versions would see more specialist engineering equipment added including the likes of bridging equipment and minesweeping devices - and a favoured 'close support' option of the 95mm howitzer! In this new plastic kit from Warlord and Italari you'll get 7 turret variations (yes - we said SEVEN!) allowing you to build the following marks:MkIII - with 6pdr gunMkIV - Cast turret with 6 pdr gunMkV - Cast turret with 95m HowitzerMkVI - Cast turret and Welded turret with 75mm gunNA 75AVRE (Armoured Vehicle Royal Engineers) with 290mm Petard Mortar (aka the flying dustbin!)

Warlord Games Bolt Action: Island Assault! Starter Set - Lost City Toys

Warlord Games Bolt Action: Island Assault! Starter Set

The battles of World War Two ravaged the entire world. Where the Band of Brothers starter set is very much concerned with the European Theatre in the wake of D-Day, our brand new starter set shifts focus to the Pacific, pitting the United States Marine Corps against Japanese Island defenders in some of the most brutal and hard-fought battles of the War.The new starter set is focussed on the island-hopping campaigns enacted by the US to reclaim Japanese advances. Unlike the land war that raged in Europe, North Africa, and the Soviet Union, where vast armies of tanks and infantry could manoeuvre and fight over large tracts of open ground, the Pacific campaign was fought mostly on a series of relatively small islands, densely packed with jungles and protected by the sea. Each island had to be landed on, fought for, and the defenders rooted out of, individually.Containing two opposing forces set amongst the many islands in the Pacific theatre, Island Assault! contains the Bolt Action 2nd edition rules as well as a scenario booklet guiding you through your first steps in the game. Before long you'll be adding to your new army and wreaking havoc on your foes be they fighting for Uncle Sam or the Emperor!Contents:Bolt Action A5 RulebookIsland Assault booklet24 Imperial Japanese Army soldiersChi-Ha tank24 US MarinesM3A1 Half-trackDicePin marker sprueTemplate sprue1 Pillbox (exclusive to this set)2 Spiderholes (exclusive to this set)
